Rite of Remembrance - Core Rules
The People have their gifts, but they also have their curses. When everyone has finished creating their characters and bonds, the Runekeeper chooses (or randomly selects) three different Gifts that the players do not have access to, and one Curse.
Inscribe those gifts onto two Red cards, chosen at random.
Inscribe the Curse onto a ♠️ card.
When you inscribe a card with either a Memory, a Deal, ****or a Curse, you add it to the deck! There are a number of ways you can do this:
When you have a Memory or a Deal in your hand, you may burn it to activate its effect! Burned cards are placed into a discard pile separate from the deck.
Powerful Spirits have roamed the Sacred Lands long before the first Memory. They are forces of nature, untamable and mysterious, though they are fond of offering deals to those who walk these lands; unbreakable covenants that can provide great power in times of need. Though, often the price of this power is quite steep indeed.
